  • These are interactive courses. GHT Automation has its own PLC training rigs software, laptops along with a set of notes to guild them through the course. These courses take place at our offices in Allenwood, Co Kildare, Ireland, W91 XK06
  • If preferred, we can also call to your premises to run these courses.
  • We can deliver 2 or 5 days sequentially or One day a week for 2/5 weeks.
  • We are also open to other options as required.
  • No previous Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience or training is required, but trainees should have a prior basic knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
  • The course is designed for industrial maintenance personnel to help them diagnose and repair faults in PLC-controlled production equipment.
  • Class sizes are limited to min of 1 and max 5. This small class size maximises the   opportunity for questions and feedback.

Level 1 Program objective

The objective of the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Level 1 program is to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully carry out basic service and maintenance of PLC controlled Industrial Systems.

 

Level 1 Course outline.

 Participants will learn how to

  • Identify the main components of a PLC controlled system: Inputs / Outputs / Coils / Set & Reset.
  • Understand the main hardware and software methods of entering and sorting PLC programs.
  • To know when to use open contacts / closed contacts / Coils / Set & Re Set.
  • Start run systems.
  • Recognise all the standard Symbols for programming a PLC.
  • Write a PLC program in Ladder Logic.
  • Design Implement and test programmable logic controller (PLC) program.
  • Store, upload and download programs to PLC.
  • GHT Automation Ltd will set out Seville projects for the trainees to program on training rigs provided

Cost 750 per day (no VAT on training)

NOTE ie. if there are 4 people attending this course, the cost would be 187.50 per person.

NOTE ie. travel expenses over 50km away from office will occur extra cost.
